How To Use Melody Settings On Individual Song Sections

What makes a great song can be a number of things.  One technique is using rhythm in your melody to create a flow in your song.  Check out how we used the apps’ melody settings on individual sections of a song to manipulate the various rhythms created by Amadeus Code.

Dissecting a song

How To Use Melody Settings On Individual Song Sections

Each song section is color coordinated in the Amadeus Code app.

In the example here, (starting from 12 o’ clock) :

  1. Verse (1)
  2. Verse (2)
  3. Verse (3)
  4. Chorus
  5. Bridge
  6. Chorus

Notice: Same color sections represent the same song segment.

Use rhythm to create a flow

Here’s the general flow we want for today’s demo song.

Relaxed verses 1&2→ Change it up with more rhythm before the chorus section → Moderate chorus

Here are the melody settings used to guide Amadeus Code.  Notice the changes made to the Note Length parameter.  For the bridge, we used the “I’m feeling lucky” feature to give the section a completely independent feel.
