We all have written a song or two that is near perfect except for that one part that just doesn’t feel right. Today, we’ll look at how Amadeus Code can provide a nudge of inspiration to spark your next songwriting idea.
Dissecting a song
Each song section is color coordinated in the Amadeus Code app.
In the example here, (starting from 12 o’ clock) :
- Verse (1)
- Verse (2)
Notice: Same color sections represent the same song segment.
Making new melodies
If you don’t like a melody, you can simply swap it out with a new one by swiping the section out. You can also use the melody settings on a per section basis to guide how Amadeus Code writes melodies.
Check out the settings for a song we made.
The first verse section settings have the familiarity settings set to the highest setting.
We wanted to tone down the second verse so we set drama and range to its lowest setting.
For the chorus section, we maxed out the note length setting and set the era to the year 2000.
Here’s the finished demo song.
