Amadeus Code is an artificial intelligence powered songwriting assistant. Create inspiration, song, and melodies instantly and infinitely. In today’s demo, we learn how to make a basic Latin pop track with Logic Pro by importing MIDI files from the Amadeus Code app.
With Amadeus Code, the creation process starts within the app (until we release our VST/AU plugin) but can easily continue in Logic Pro by exporting MIDI files from the app.

First, Open Exported MIDI Files
Here’s what you’ll see in the exported folder.
- Harmony MIDI
- Melody MIDI
- .m4a Audio
To import the MIDI files to Logic Pro, create a new song and drag and drop the 2 MIDI files onto the song or just double-click on the MIDI file.

The harmony MIDI file is split into individual notes, so let’s merge just the top 3 notes.
Next, Assign Instruments
Fire up your favorite synth or keyboard and assign it to the melody and chord tracks. We chose a piano from Logic’s preset synth for the harmony track.

Since you have the chord MIDI file, you can easily edit notes to create a pattern. In our case, we edited the chords into an 8th note based pattern.
Next, add some bass
Your bass track also can be made with the harmony MIDI file just by creating a new track from the lowest note of the chord. Classic Funk Boogie Bass – can’t go wrong!
Making the bass line
We added the 3rd of the root note, lowered the entire part an octave and changed up the rhythm a bit to match the Latin feel we’re going for.
Lastly, let’s make beat loop.
